Passages Bamboo Urn
Traditional Bamboo Urns are hand-crafted from 3/4” bamboo plywood which is a sustainable and rapidly renewable resource. This bamboo is plantation-grown and is not a species that is consumed by endangered Panda populations. Each urn features a Green certified and LEED-compliant (Leadership In Energy and Environmental Design) water-based finish. The base affixes with recycled steel screws. Traditional Bamboo Urns are made in the USA.
Tribute Bamboo Urns are hand-crafted from 1/2″ bamboo plywood and are a more economical option to our Traditional Bamboo Urns. The bamboo used to produce the urns is found commonly, and grows rapidly in mountain regions of China. It is widely used throughout Asia, but is not a species that is consumed by endangered Panda populations. Each urn features a natural water-based finish. The base affixes with steel screws and the urn loads from the bottom.
Woven Bamboo Urns are hand-crafted from bamboo sourced on farms in northern Bangladesh and feature a simple cotton interior lining. These urns ship knocked-down from Asia, and are reassembled here in the USA using a clever system of wooden pins, before being sent to our customers. They are a simple and inexpensive bamboo urn option.
